Nigerians champion sprinter Tobin Amusan finishes second in Lausanne Diamond League

.Tobi Amusan the Nigerian sprinter came second as Camacho-Quinn got over her winning the women 100m hurdles at the Diamond League recording 12.34s(-0.9).

The 25 years old,born in in Ijebu ode Nigeria and currently residing at Texas, Tobi Amusan on Friday night won a silver medal at the ongoing Diamond League after losing to the Gold medal to Camacho-Quinn at this year’s World Championship in Oregon,United States.

Earlier this august,Tobi win the Gold medal in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games setting an amazing record.

Amusan hoped to continue her amazing performance but along the line,she met a resistant hurdle “Camacho-Quinn, as she lost the gold medal to her.

Camacho-Quinn who was the winner of the Olympics 2020 women hurdles got one over the Nigerian sprinter, winning the 2022 women’s 100m Hurdles at the Diamond League in a new Meeting Record of 12.34s (-0.9).

Amusan finished second in 12.45s and qualified for Zurich, while US’ Tia Jones ran a new Personal Best of 12.47s to finish third.

The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletics competitions which comprises of 14 best invitational athletics meetings.

The series of elite track and competition sits in the top tier of the World Athletics one-day meeting competitions.
